BOLTON’S business leaders got an insight into the workings of their local paper at a networking lunch.
The Bolton News’ editor, Ian Savage, told guests at the Bolton Professionals Curry Club yesterday lunchtime about the paper’s rich 150-year history and role within the community.
Key figures from a wide variety of industries heard about some of the paper’s most notable campaigns and how the newspaper industry has changed amid the digital revolution.
Politics reporter Daniel Holland then spoke about covering the General Election campaign ahead of polling day and what readers can expect from The Bolton News’ coverage as the results are declared tonight.
The next in the popular series of curry club events, held at the Spice Valley restaurant in St George’s Road, will be held in September and will welcome a speaker from the Bank Top Brewery.
