SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur Hilary Devey will be coming home to Bolton to share her trade secrets at this year's Bolton and Bury Business Awards.

Hilary will be the guest speaker at the 2017 glittering awards ceremony at the Macron Stadium next month.

The award-winning business woman, who is also a television presenter, has previously spoken about how her experiences of growing up in Bolton which helped her achieve the success she has.

Hilary revolutionised the palletised distribution industry in the UK when she launched Pall-Ex in 1996.

She has become a familiar face on British television, known for her roles in reality shows including Dragons’ Den, The Intern, The Secret Millionaire and The Business Inspector.

Hilary has received of a number of leading industry awards, and in 2009, made history as the first woman to be presented with the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport’s most prestigious accolade, the Sir Robert Lawrence Award.

She has Honorary Doctorates from the University of Bolton and the universities of Leicester and Wolverhampton. She was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2013, for her contribution to the transport industry and to charity.

Hilary campaigns tirelessly for various charities, and is the vice president of The Carers Trust and a patron of the Stroke Association.

The 2017 Bolton and Bury Business Awards will take place on September 28 at a special dinner.
