BOLTON marketing agency Tao Digital has celebrated its recent success by giving something back to the community.

Co-Founder Matt Tomkin and his team have reached out to help local charity Lagan’s Foundation.

The Foundation was set up in the name of Horwich-born Lagan Katherine Anne Grant who lost her fight for life in April, 2011 aged just 15 weeks after she was born with CHD.

Lagan’s parents Carren Bell and Barry Grant, wanted “something positive” to come out of their loss and started Lagan’s Foundation to help children with the condition.

Mr Tomkin said: “It has long been a local charity that has always tugged at my heartstrings for the work that they do.

"Over the last few years, I have seen the organisation grow from a small entity to now providing help and support throughout the UK, working tirelessly to help people who need it most.

"Having young children myself, I don’t know how some of the people manage to cope, and if I can do my bit to help get the charity in front of more people who need the help then I am more than happy to do so.

"Here’s to the next step up the growth ladder.”

Tao Digital has provided the charity with a full range of services including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), paid search support along with helping with their general marketing activity.

In the short time since working together, this partnership has already given The Foundation access to the Google Non-Profits program which allows them to tap into $10,000 per month of Google Adwords spend per month to help promote the charity online.

Lagan’s Mother Carren Bell said she was delighted. She said: “I’ve known Matt for a number of years and in that time he has given us advice when needed and helped support the charity in other ways.

"But we are now looking at the sustainability of the organisation and we need to be in front of people at the right time.

"The results that we have achieved so far are invaluable in doing this, we are looking to build the organic traffic to the site and we are confident that Matt and his team will enable us to do so.”
