BUSINESSES in Bolton are among the best in the country – and that’s official!

The annual competition held by national marketing and advertising organisation thebestof involves volume of positive feedback satisfied customers leave for companies.

Locally, businesses have achieved exceptional results with 12 first-place winners, six second places and two third places. “This is the eighth year Bolton businesses have distinguished themselves spectacularly by achieving so many of the top places in these national awards,” explained David Ramsden, co-owner of thebestofbolton.

“This demonstrates the passion local people have for the great businesses we have in the town.”

First places were taken by the Big Bolton Expo in the Business Support and Networking category, School Shuttle in Childcare, Room Four Dessert in Coffee Shops and Tea Rooms and Bridge Conference Centre in Conference and Event Services.

Crompton Way Motors won first place in Car Dealers (Used), Oven Rescue in Cleaning Services, The Last Drop Village and Spa in Hotels and Accommodation and Amity Law in Legal Services.

Bolton Osteopathic Clinic were top Osteopaths, Ocean Palace were No.1 in Restaurants (Chinese) with Curleys Dining Room the winner in Restaurants (English). Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme won first place in Charities.

Second placed were Central Carpets in Carpets and Rugs, Fish Motors in Car Dealers (Used), Copy Print in Office Supplies and Stationery, Eckersley’s Removals in Removals and Stitch Effect were second in Workwear.

Booth Heating was third in Plumbing and Heating and the USN Bolton Arena third in Sports and Leisure.

Commented winner, Jayne Hart: “We’re very proud at Amity Law to have won the Business of the Year award for Legal Services for six years out of the last seven.”

Andy Hall from Oven Rescue stated: “I find my reviews almost as important as being paid for the job. I think it just adds value to my business and makes me feel proud.”
