ANTI-WAR campaigners held a silent protest this week.
The Bolton Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and Stop the War group held a vigil on Thursday outside the MBDA Weapons Factory.
The protesters were marking three years since the start of the fighting in the Yemen War. They held up banners outside the weapons facility at the Logistics North development in Over Hulton. A spokesperson for the campaign said: “Bolton CND is calling for a ban on all arms sales to Saudi Arabia and a change of industrial strategy by the UK Government, so that in future the skills and talents of our workforce can be redeployed from making weapons to kill and maim to making useful and constructive products.”
MBDA did not wish to comment.
