CCTV images have been released of a man police are looking to speak to after a brazen theft at a family-run music store.

Bosses at Rimmers Music Bolton discovered at Mackie Mix 12 Mixer had been stolen just before 1pm on April 23.

They are appealing for information to trace a man or for anyone who has any information to contact police.

A spokeswoman for the store in Folds Road, said: “At Rimmers Music Bolton, on April 23 a man entered our store at 12.41pm and went upstairs to our first floor showroom and stole a ‘Mackie Mix 12 Mixer’ which is worth over £120.

“The police have been informed.”

Police confirmed that they were looking for a man captured on CCTV images.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police, said: “I can confirm that we are looking to speak to the man pictured or anyone who recognises him in connection with the incident.”

The spokeswoman for the specialised store said that shoplifting was a blow to business.

She said: “Thefts like this are not good at all. This is a family-run business.

“We discovered the theft on the day. This is a relatively big piece of equipment.”

She urged anyone who had been approached to buy the mixer or anyone who had information to contact the police.

Rimmers Music was established in1978 and has developed a reputation as a leading musical instrument retail company in the country. It has nine stores and runs Rimmers Music Schools within its store.

Tomorrow it is staging its first Bolton Music School Concert to raise money for Bolton Hospice at Astley Bridge Conservative Club at 7pm.
