I THINK the very fact that many voters believe UKIP to stand for something different than the other parties really shows the level of political illiteracy in this country.

I don’t use the words political illiteracy lightly either, but when most people still think that the Labour Party are socialists, then I defend my right to call some voters politically illiterate.

UKIP are as much of an ‘Establishment party’ as the Tories.

They represent big business, the protection of the private wealth of individuals and the banks, and Nigel Farage, the leader of UKIP, went to a public school.

Working class people who are foolish enough to vote for UKIP are signing the death of the NHS, a proliferation of those dumbed down academies that they have the cheek to call schools, and poverty measures that will make the Tories like old school Liberals.

The right wing media have saturated us with images of UKIP over the last year, and this is despite the fact that they held no seats until very recently.

Even the live TV debate that will be aired soon has invited Nigel Farage and left out the Green Party who are actually more popular and have more seats than UKIP. Like the Tories’ promise to leave Europe before the last election, UKIP are a one trick pony who cling desperately to their immigration policies to woo voters.
