Nothing Christian in this act

CHRIST'S Church, Harwood, should be prosecuted by the RSPCA or any other equivalent body for causing the death of animals through aggravated suffering.
We know they have a problem which we understand, which is also relevant to many other buildings, and that they have a responsibility for the upkeep of the building.
But to cause the death of any animal through prolonged agony and suffering. To leave them trapped and left to perish, injured, without food or water at the mercy of the elements is not Christian or human.
There is nothing Christian about a doctrine that allows this.
If it is essential to keep them out of the tower then use a much smaller gauge of netting that the birds cannot penetrate. It is not brain surgery.
