MALCOLM Pittock’s latest letter “Victims of western terrorism are not given sympathetic attention” May 29 warrants a firm rebuttal.

The Corbyn supporting Pittock quotes the discredited Marxist author/commentator Noam Chomsky in an attempt to add credence to his preposterous claims that, “since the Korean war in1950, the West has fought a succession of terrorist wars”, and that, “our defence is based on a willingness to commit mass murder”. Chomsky is hardly a reputable commentator to make comment on so called, “Western terrorism” one would think.

Quite clearly Mr Pittock’s rose tinted spectacles have been coloured by extreme socialism. He’s quite incapable of distinguishing between reality and the depraved dogma of the left-wing propagandists and is unable to comprehend the genuine fact that the reason he is able to make such offensive annotations, as he often does, is down to “Western terrorism”, as he so eloquently puts it.

Whilst Western nations are by no means perfect and atrocities have been committed, they pale into insignificance when compared with the barbaric actions of the likes of ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, the Moslem Brotherhood, the mad mullahs of Iran and communist regimes, past and present and so on.

The military actions carried out by British armed forces and the armed forces of other western democracies, do not deliberately go out of their way to specifically target, “to kill and maim”, as many innocent civilians as is possible.

On the contrary, these highly trained professionals knowingly, often at grave risk to themselves, go out of their way to minimise civilian casualties. Pittock slanders and insults our armed forces personnel, past and present by insinuating that they are mass murdering terrorists.

Mr Pittock had better hope that the hideous terrorist organisations that are hell bent on destroying Western civilisation do not get their hands on the kind of weapons that our armed forces have at their disposal. To these people he is just another infidel like the rest of us who deserves to die
