Mr Morgan was good at football but not exams
IT was 1958 that I last wrote to the then Bolton evening News.
But on reading Angela Kelly's story about schools sports, stopping genuine competition in favour of no winners, no losers.
Should this apply to tests and exams?
I was reasonable at football and athletics but in Class C and well down the exam list so therefore academically way back in the field.
On leaving school I did okay at football, worked for 48 years and have been married for 50 years. So school report did well.
