IS it not time that someone at the top stood up and spoke out about the attacks on fire crews who are bravely fighting fires and saving lives. Anyone who attacks them are causing a serious obstruction to the fire fighters carrying out their duties. They should be able to respond by turning the hoses on their attackers, knocking them off their feet, and when detained the attackers should face a prison sentence.
Same goes with the police service, again someone at the top needs to speak out about the shortage of police officers on the streets.
We are continually being told that crime is not on the increase, yet every day the newspapers are full of serious crime incidents.
It would appear that the powers that be really believe crime in Bolton is going down as they don’t think there is a need for any cells.
Is it the case that the people at the top are afraid of rocking the boat.
