THERE probably could not have been a worse site for a bridge out of action for several months than at Moses Gate in Farnworth.

Traffic has already been thrown into chaos, making surrounding routes like Bradford Road suffer with lengthy traffic jams and upsetting local people trying to get to work and school.

Now, traders around Egerton Street appear to be having a really tough time as business plummets. Network Rail has also said the bridge will not fully re-open until February, so their misery continues.

Surely common sense and fairness dictate there should be some sort of compensation available here?
