REMEMBRANCE Sunday is definitely a time that brings people together.
And, as witnessed by the weekend’s parades and events in Bolton, local people mark this important time well. In Astley Bridge, for example, as well as the wealth of large poppies on lampposts courtesy of local shops and other businesses and organisations, there was a wonderful exhibition of local art on show, involvement by schools and the area’s first ever Remembrance concert.
Congratulations to all involved in this excellent coverage. All age-groups need to acknowledge this special time of year out of genuine respect for all those involved in conflicts.
