I FIND it hard to understand the reasoning behind a full resurfacing of the front and part of the side of the old health centre in Little Lever, which is due to close in September.
Many residents over the past couple of days have contacted me in disgust at the money being spent on the centres grounds now when, for the past 10 years at least, it has been a botch-up job virtually held together by sticky tape, flacking paint and buckets to catch the rain.
The health centre is to move about September once the new health centre opens, which was passed in planning committee only the other week.
I want a full explanation as to why the need to resurface such an area and the cost involved.
