Last summer, Bolton's new transport interchange opened to great fanfare.
It is a real credit to the town that we now have this wonderful facility.
As a regular user of the interchange and as winter bites, it has became apparent there's something not quite right.
It is absolutely freezing inside the station.
I contacted TfGM to inquire about this and it confirmed the interchange has no heating system.
I am completely baffled by this. Why spend £48 million on this modern building and design it with no heating provision?
The seating is even too cold to sit on. I imagine it also puts people off wanting to use the cafe inside.
I have asked the councillor responsible for Bolton's transport, David Chadwick, for his comments and I look forward to his reply.
