Traffic on Blackburn Road at the Astley Bridge junction during rush hour
I HAVE just read your article about Blackburn Road traffic.
Every day I travel this route and while it is not the total answer, one problem is that parked cars on the roadway in both directions means that traffic is constantly weaving in and out to avoid them.
This prevents a steady flow of traffic — double yellows all the way down would be a very quick thing to do.
