I WAS ashamed last week to hear the Prime Minister of the Jewish State of Israel asking the people of the world to remember this day and to celebrate that America was moving its Embassy to Jerusalem and that this was a glorious day for the state of Israel.

There is nothing to celebrate trying to designate Jerusalem the capital of Israel.

Without the backing of America he could not celebrate anything. Our hands are not clean; Britain fails to recognise Palestine as a state; it took the land from the Palestinians and gave it to the Jewish people so they could have a state themselves called Israel but yet Britain still refuses to recognise Palestine as a state. We are to blame for the mess in the Middle East, not the Palestinians.

Where is the Labour Party in all this? Too ashamed to denounce the state of Israel they use a few mealy mouthed words ‘We are not demanding that Britain recognises Palestine as a legitimate state in its own right’.

Where are you Jeremy Corbyn, demanding that we recognise Palestine, that the British government recognises Palestine?

You cannot bring yourself to do it but we support the sale of arms. Jeremy Corbyn, where are your principles? America is wrong to move its embassy; the world acknowledges it but you do nothing. A member of our Royal Family is to visit Israel on a state visit but you have not denounced it. If the prince goes to Israel surely he should visit Palestine too or do we not give a damn?

Has Labour party lost all its principles when it comes to the Middle East? Armageddon is on its way; you might not be a believer Jeremy but you are playing with fire; the Palestinians deserve better, the world deserves better. The Palestinians deserve infinitely better from the Labour Party and its leader who are betraying them.
