Such a shame to hear that Hool's herbalist stall will be no more, does none of Bolton's councillors see what's happening to Bolton market?
I first went to Hool's as a small child, my grandma would buy me liquorice. That was over 50 years ago and even when I moved to Eccles in Manchester I would still return to get weighed and buy kitchen herbs.
I visited Bolton market in July and was left dumbfounded by the lack of stalls and customers.
I would recommend that Bolton councillors visit Bury market or Blackburn market hall, both are thriving and bustling with customers.
Walking around Bolton is comparable to a shanty town, such a shame that a once very proud town has been let down by the very people running it.
