THE National circus march on Sunday was a roaring success!
Thousands of Boltonians, all fighting for human or animal rights, travelled to Manchester and protested for hours in the city centre. Despite calls from the public, MPs and experts for a ban, the Government appears to be ploughing ahead with a system of regulation for wild animals in circuses. Why?
MPs Mark Pritchard and Sheryll Murray offered their support to a protest by young Gabriel Ryan, calling on the Government to ban the use of wild animals in circuses, as animal protection charities unveiled a billboard highlighting Gabriel’s message outside the Conservative Party Conference. The four-year-old’s message was simple: Animals take the smiles out of the circus.
Before booking tickets, make sure there are only human acts.
