Charities are not helping

IT has been my practice, when it gets near Christmas, to make donations to charities in memory of my mother, youngest brother and pets who are no longer with us.
From time to time, I also support other charities.
Since November I have been so inundated with requests for donations that I have been overwhelmed.
The situation is ridiculous and I am being prevented from supporting charities by the constant requests for money.
It is fortunate we have so many charity shops in Bolton as I have been able to make donations anonymously. I do not think charities are doing themselves any favours by swamping people with these requests for money.
