Shut church – take action

AFTER reading about lead being stolen from St Gregory’s Church, Farnworth, is anyone surprised?
The church has stood empty for 18 years. It has been broken into several times. The windows are boarded up and the churchyard at the side is like a jungle.
I know it is a listed building, but surely the Salford Diocese should have done something before it got to that state. If they don’t, it will fall down.
