RE “Speed crackdown catches 24 drivers’”
(The Bolton News, April 21).
We are asked: “What do we think?” I think a licence to drive isn’t a licence to kill and, if you think you just might, then don’t drive.
Those who infringe the rules, however slight, should be hammered again for their sheer arrogance, crass stupidity, disrespect for the law and general indifference for the environment and public wellbeing — that’s what I think.
The obscenity of “killing by car’”should result in a heavy custodial sentence and licence revoked for life. “A life for a life”, no excuses, no compromises.
That’s what I think.
