STEVE Jones (Unions pay their leaders, August 3), please note that the 36 union chiefs with their fat cat pay which I mentioned in my letter which includes generous pensions and perks have been “outed” by the Tax Payers Alliance.
Christine Blowers, of the National Union of Teachers (£142,363), has a salary four times the average secondary school teacher’s pay. Her pay is up 10 per cent.
I only wrote the letter because I felt ordinary people should be aware of the double standards.
Do union chiefs lose pay when they encourage members to strike? Bankers and union chiefs all have a lot to answer for.
