IT’S good news that Bolton Hospice has started to admit patients to its latest new and refurbished facilities.

It has created four new en suite bedrooms, extended seven of the existing 14 bedrooms and added a new large family overnight room along with other improvements.

A grant from NHS England plus other grants and local contributions has made this possible and it underlines the importance of our continued support for this vital local service.

It has always touched individual lives and few families don’t have reason to be grateful for its remarkable staff. If we don’t support the hospice financially, though, we might always lose it and that would be a tragedy  for the town.
