I’M looking forward to seeing how Neil Lennon does at Bolton Wanderers – and I hope he can inject just as much passion into the job as he did when he was a player.
The club has been in a bit of a lull this last few months so it’s really good to see people buzzing again and looking forward to a brighter future.
If Neil, pictured, is as lively in the dugout as he was on the pitch, then we’re in for a interesting time.
I never got the chance to referee a match where he was manager but bumped into him plenty of times when he was a player at Leicester City and he was always very hard, very honest, and loved a good moan.
Like most players, he wasn’t worried about telling you if he disagreed with something you did – but it’s all part of the game.
I wish him and the club well. I hope we can get back that family atmosphere that has been lost somewhere along the way.
