THERE’S nothing wrong with pride in the county in which you live, and I live in Lancashire.
I know my address reveals that Greater Manchester is my county but, in my heart, I’m a Lancastrian through and through. So, the fact that Bolton Council may now decide to put the Lancashire name on road signs is enough to make Northern hearts soar.
Many people want to highlight their original roots and display that they are from Lancashire. The county is part of our lives and our heritage, and even if that’s all that happens, it might be enough – for now.
