LILIAN Kearns MBE was a remarkable woman who was determined to make Johnson Fold a better place.
She died 10 years ago at 84, having achieved so much for local people, and her memory continues in a special trophy awarded each year for the hardest working Johnson Fold Primary School pupil. Next month, a new trophy is presented to replace the original.
Lilian loved her family and worked to enhance life for other families. Her heart and spirit live on, not just in a name on a trophy but in the area’s daily life and the vital legacy she created.
