WHATEVER the outcome of the BBC 1 hit drama series Dr Foster tonight actress Suranne Jones is emerging heaped in praise.

The talented 37-year-old Oldham-born actress is compelling as local GP Dr Gemma Foster, forced to reassess her marriage as her husband has an affair.

The series has attracted eight million viewers and become a talked about programme, resonating with women across the generations.

Suranne first came to public attention as Steve McDonald’s feisty wife, Karen, in Coronation Street and has gone on to prove her acting credentials in series like detective drama Scott & Bailey.

In Dr Foster, she has shown all the emotions of a woman on the edge, desperately trying to save her marriage and her family. Last week’s watchable segment had her engineering a dinner party at the home of her husband’s young mistress, with carnage likely to result.
