WHATEVER the doom merchants think, the announcement of Nando’s and Prezzo as taking units in The Market Place’s newly redeveloped vaults is excellent news.
You don’t have to be a fan of chicken or Italian dishes to recognise that these two famous names bring more than tasty food to the £14 million project to develop the Victorian vaults under the building.
Two such well-known brands are also a terrific vote of confidence in the project and its likely successful outcome. In fact, such established commercial successes would never consider a move into something that didn’t look positive and potentially lucrative.
It’s all timed to happen next March when the nine-screen cinema there is set to open, and it offers a really attractive venue for a night out for all ages. So many people have for so long complained that Bolton has no entertainment for them centrally. Now, there will be a venue offering safe parking and access to movies, food and drink.
Let’s just give it a chance to shine.
