THERE will have been much grumbling about the two divorcees now able to go back to court to force their ex-husbands to give them a fair settlement.

Varsha Gohil and Alison Sharland won a Supreme Court ruling which means spouses who hide their wealth in divorce proceedings could have the matter looked at again.

While this may not be popular with some individuals, in reality the new ruling means greater transparency in court and a fairer division of assets.

Divorce is a notorious place for practical recrimination but now hiding assets may no longer be an option, for either partner.
