CONGRATULATIONS to all at Sharples Primary School where staff have brought in a special “lesson” in the mornings.
Nearly 300 children now regularly start the day with structured “wake and shake” sessions in the playground where they dance to music before they start the day’s lessons.
This energetic wake-up call kickstarts their mental as well as their physical energy, ensuring that they are alert and ready for lessons. I love this idea – more schools should take it up, to counteract the couch potato lifestyles that many have today and to give children the best possible start to their learning day.
