I JUST love the way that some people who fiddle the benefits’ system cannot quite resist flaunting their very real fitness abilities in public.
Just from memory, I’ve seen newspaper reports of champion martial arts’ exponents, ballroom dancing experts and powerlifting competition winners all happily pictured being successful in their various, quite physical, past-times that are bound to attract a level of media attention.
And all have been claiming benefits for disabilities that would prevent them from normal movement never mind extraordinary achievement.
Now we’ve got a man appearing in court in Blackpool whose stage name is the Stripping Ninja and footage shows him performing his lively, active routine while officially too ill to go outside his home. Unsurprisingly, he was convicted of benefit fraud.
Such cheats not only play the rest of us for fools but do a complete disservice to the many people genuinely claiming disability allowance.
