HOUSEBOUND for two days last week with a heavy cold it was just me and the telly.
As I ploughed through various films, it got me thinking about my favourites – you know, the ones you turn to when you need comfort. Well, women often do, anyway.
I just wondered if others agreed with my Top Ten list. In no particular order: You’ve Got Mail!, Baby Boom, It’s Complicated, Sleepless in Seattle, Eat Pray Love, Working Girl, As Good As It Gets, Four Weddings And A Funeral, Something’s Gotta Give and The King’s Speech.
Yes, I know, some films are very girlie, a bit mushy, but they are all still “intelligent rom-coms”. I make no apologies for any choices and could watch most of them several times, and have.
Let me know your favourites and I’ll mention them, just to share the visual reassurance and feelgood factor in times of stress!
