IT’S very sad to hear about the cancer diagnosis of both singer Michael Buble’s three year-old son and chef Jean-Christophe Novelli’s eight week-old son.

This is doubtless devastating for both sets of parents and we can only send good wishes and hope they have good support networks around them.

Sadly, child cancer is a fact of life that most of us would prefer never to acknowledge. Many parents, though, have no choice and we are lucky to have excellent specialist treatment available at The Christie and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. So supporting them makes sense for us all.
