BOLTON MP Yasmin Qureshi is right to invite the Transport Secretary Chris Grayling to joint her travelling on Bolton’s trains.
She wants to highlight the need for the high-speed rail line HS2 to benefit the whole region including people around the Bolton area, making this offer to him in the House of Commons.
More urgently, we need Government to appreciate the daily travesty that passengers suffer trying to get to work and appointments on packed, short trains.
In 2017, we want better trains and conditions for our long-suffering commuters and a realistic view of the whole service to benefit everyone.
