OUR supermarket shopping habits are apparently changing once more – and the weekly “big shop” could be gone forever.
According to a new report by supermarket giant Waitrose, large shopping trolleys could soon be redundant as we no longer plan ahead for weekly meals, visiting shops at least once a day to see what takes our fancy. We’re also increasingly rushing to the reduced prices’ aisle to seek out bargains.
I suppose it’s all in line with the basic social nature of supermarket shopping now – the “retail experience” which means we amble around viewing what’s on offer, taking our time.
