Supermarket pub better being a jail

I SEE the Bolton News announces the demise of yet another pub, namely the Flying Shuttle, “the toughest pub in Britain”.

Sadly, this is a reflection of our times. I remember it in its earlier days as a family-type pub which entertained pensioners’ parties and the like.

I read that it is to be turned into a supermarket. I was under the impression that there were already supermarkets in that vicinity.

I have a better idea. Build a small jail on the site. It can then house those who caused it to close in the first place. At least they will feel at home.
