THIS farce of a Government never tires of kicking those who are down.

Now, I am told, they propose to trample on the unemployed by stopping their Jobseekers’ Allowance if their CVs are not up to standard, or if they do not look presentable.

More excuses for Jobcentre staff to sanction jobseekers, leaving them penniless.

Already numerous complaints are made to the DWP about Jobcentre staff.

Here in Bolton, this year, between January and March, 12 complaints were made.

There is a whole army of people in work purely because there are so many out of work.

What I mean is, if everyone suddenly got a job, there would be little use for Jobcentres and those who work therein.

So it really isn’t in their interest to get everyone back to work, is it?

Let’s get back to when it was the job of those working in the Dole office to find a job for those seeking work.

You went in looking for a job. You were given a card. And you went for an interview and that was that.

If jobcentre staff were employed simply to find jobs for the unemployed, things would be much easier for everyone.

Jobcentre staff should not be able to stop benefits, leaving people penniless. It needs to stop.
