AT a time when sexism usually leads to a salacious court case and possible big payouts you’ve got to question the judgement surrounding Sainsbury’s own awards’ ceremony at a Cambridgeshire superstore.
Apparently, they had to cancel the Oscars-style event after it was branded offensive. This is hardly surprising when categories included “Sexiest Woman”, “Sexiest Man” and “Most Blonde Moments.”
You’d think that kind of stuff went out with the ‘70s, wouldn’t you, but apparently not. More apposite might have been “Daftest Decision” and “Most People Offended In A Single Event”. There would probably have been no shortage of winners here.
