YOU’VE got to admire David Beckham for the way he handles his career.
After being the world’s best-paid footballer of his time, he’s now coining in even more. The former England captain, who hung up his boots in 2013, made £50.5 million last year.
Canny David signed lucrative endorsement deals and created his own branded goods. Brand Beckham is certainly a recognisable one around the world, untainted by anything unsavoury from the happily married dad.
He deserves his success. He’s worked hard in every area of his life and manages not to be nasty to anyone - true icon material.
