IF you’re thinking of getting on your bike this Summer and are looking for a new cycle it’s definitely worth going along to Bolton’s Derby Barracks in Fletcher Street.
This is now the home of The Alternative Transport project, run by charity Emmaus which does amazing work daily with homeless people. They recycle, refurbish and service bikes at very reasonable prices.
They can also repair bikes and are always glad to receive unwanted bikes which they can also come out to collect. To find out more about this first-class project, either call in at their premises or ring 01204 398056.
