IT’S really reassuring to know that people we often take for granted in our supermarkets are cool heads in a crisis.
Mum Toni Rimavicius discovered one such gem when her two year-old daughter Ava-Mai collapsed in Tesco’s in Longcauseway, Farnworth.
Security guard Ronnie Walker rushed to her aid, put her in the recovery position and generally looked after her until paramedics arrived. The little girl was in hypoglycaemic shock, recovering after receiving glucose gel and a drink.
Modest Mr Walker played down his role, sharing the praise with fellow supermarket staff. Thank goodness for unassuming but clear-headed people like him.
