FAMILIES with children who have congenital heart defects or feeding issues often have to struggle alone at home.
This happened to Horwich couple Carren Bell and Barry Grant when their daughter Lagan was born. She died aged just 15 weeks, but her parents were determined to help other families and launched Lagan’s Foundation charity.
This has just had a £54,000 boost from Children in Need and it’s terrific news. They can now offer help and support to 70 more families trying to cope. They can give practical friendship, advice and guidance - from people who understand exactly what they’re going through.
