THE story of 12 year-old ballet dancer Xander Bevan definitely resembles Billy Elliott’s.

The Atherton youngster was first attracted to dancing at the age of six when a ballet school visited his school. His parents took him to lessons to “get it out of his system.” Now he’s taken part in an English Youth Ballet production of Giselle and is launching his boys’ ballet clothes company because his mum struggled to find him ballet gear.

Let’s hope he makes it to the top in dance. He’s certainly showed all the right determination and entrepreneurial savvy to succeed, whatever he chooses.
