FARNWORTH residents would probably argue that the town has always been at the back of the queue when it came to major projects to improve the area.
Now, they have been waiting more than 18 months for a new shopping parade between Brackley Street and King Street, among a range of other improvements.
The old Farnworth Market shut earlier this year and local traders and residents alike are angry about lack of progress. Developers St Modwen point to problems caused by old mineshafts under the town centre.
More communication is plainly needed here to keep everyone up to speed.
