WHAT a dramatic rollercoaster was that fabulous BBC1 thriller The Missing!
The perplexing eight-week series completely baffled viewers half the time, and absolutely thrilled them the other half. Its story line revolved around missing girls, set over a period of time that required the plot to bounce backwards and forwards.
It concluded at the same white-knuckle pace employed all the way through, and included some genuinely fine acting especially from Tcheky Karyo, David Morrissey and Keeley Hawes - who put in a truly haunting performance.
I can’t wait for it to return – viewers will be missing their weekly fix already.
