IT’S absolutely right that the thug who subjected a Jewish MP to horrible online anti-Semitic abuse should go to prison.
Far Right extremist Joshua Bonehill-Paine made his online rants just months before the murder of MP Jo Cox by Neo-Nazi Thomas Mair in June.
These were part of a wider campaign in which Miss Berger was bombarded with 2,500 tweets a day including death threats.
Such vile behaviour is unacceptable anytime and the message needs to go out to others showing that real punishment awaits these perpetrators. There is no hiding place online, and no appetite for such offensive behaviour.
