KEEN gardeners already know this but there are still many who don’t realise that gardening can bring communities together.
This is part of the thinking at a new project about to start at Walmsley Unitarian Chapel in Egerton. Here, the Incredible Edible group, which promotes locally grown food, is helping create produce in the gardens for a Nature Café. Volunteers want more people to take part here and in a spread of other activities suitable for everyone.
It’s all to combat loneliness and isolation and to build a stronger local community. This sounds like a brilliant way to do it.
