LET’S hope that Bolton Council and the owner of Diamonds lap-dancing club on Bank Street can come up with a solution on the sale of the premises.
The building is in the way of the ambitious £226 million pound regeneration plan Church Wharf which has resurfaced 10 years after it was first suggested.
Hundreds of new homes and a new link road are involved in the plan which fell victim to the global financial crisis.
The town urgently wants both redevelopment and homes and, while the needs of individual businesses must be addressed, compromise of some kind is desperately needed.
