THE photos in the Bolton News of young boys scrambling over shop roofs and needing rescuing were frightening.
Children always love adventures and it’s hard to control that inquisitive energy, especially during the long school holidays. However, it really is up to parents to know exactly where their children are even when they’re playing with friends.
Every Summer, youngsters are injured and worse playing in often dangerous places like roofs and railway lines. They just need protecting from themselves and that’s one job that parents have to do. Just letting them roam where they want is a recipe for disaster.
